Stair Installation & Refinishing / Escaleras
New hardwood treads and risers, or old stairs sanded and refinished to match your floors
A premium take on stair installation & refinishing / escaleras
Stairs take more abuse than any floor in the house and they're the first thing you see from the front door. We install new solid hardwood treads and risers, replace carpeted stairs with real wood, build treads for modern open-riser and spiral staircases, and hand-sand existing stairs so they match the freshly refinished floor at the top and bottom. Every tread is hand-sanded, every nosing is eased, and the finish goes on in thin even coats so it wears evenly where feet land.
This service is a good fit for homeowners and property managers who want a clean, professional result without juggling the details themselves. We handle the prep, the finish work, and the cleanup so the space is ready to enjoy when we're done.
Every project covers the essentials
- New solid hardwood treads, risers, and nosings
- Carpet-to-hardwood stair conversions
- Open-riser, floating, and spiral staircase treads
- Hand-sanding of existing treads, risers, and landings
- Stain matched to adjoining floors
- Slip-aware finish choices for busy households
Four steps from first call to final walkthrough
Measure
We measure every tread and riser, since no two are the same in an older home.
Prep
Old carpet, tack strip, and damaged treads come out; the stringers are checked and secured.
Install or Sand
New treads are cut and fitted one at a time, or existing stairs are hand-sanded to bare wood.
Finish
Stain and finish coats applied so the stairs match the floors they connect.
